It just worked out. Something came together and now there is something to look forward to. A short thrill of violation, followed by focus, followed by flotation. Cryptic is the nature of nature, as are these words.

Take Vyvanse? Eat and Drink for Greater Efficacy
Just made a quick post on the main blog about Vyvanse and food/fluids. It's just a reminder about the value of healthy eating and drinking habits concerning Vyvanse treatment. You can't abolish your tolerance to Vyvanse (amphetamine tolerance builds quite rapidly and cannot really be reversed) but you can do certain things to help the drug work better, and make Vyvanse a less toxic experience for your mind and body to handle. Vyvanse is an amphetamine. When you ingest amphetamine, you are ingesting what many refer to as "speed".
The slang term speed, a reference to amphetamine drugs like Vyvanse and Adderall, is used regularly for a reason. By taking amphetamine drugs you are speeding up the mind and the body. You are kicking things into overdrive. No, I'm not referring to taking 3x your prescribed dosage to achieve a high. Amphetamine, and more specifically Vyvanse, speeds up our metabolic processes at therapeutic dosages.
Recognizing this fact, it's easy to see that food and drink matters. The foods we eat and the fluids we drink help keep the mind and body running at a healthy pace. We all know foods we eat act as energy sources. So, if you are going to be revving up your body's engine, so to speak, then you better have the fuel to make everything run smoothly.
Why are food, drinks, and Vyvanse on the mind? Simply put, in the past, I have not eaten well, nor did I replenish my fluids well, on quite a few occasions. I want to get the word out that Vyvanse does not work well when you aren't eating and drinking healthily. As a matter of fact, disregarding food and fluids is a quick way to ruin your physical and mental health. Just remember, eat and drink on Vyvanse, and do so regularly.

Another Cigarette After NAC Supplements and @TreatBipolar
It just has to happen. I think it's more deserved than the average cigarette that burns my lungs away. I created a relatively in depth Squidoo lens called "Why Buy an NAC Supplement to Treat Bipolar Disorder?". It covers the basics of treating bipolar with NAC, why these supplements shouldn't be ignored by bipolar individuals, and the best NAC supplements to buy. I also finally got around to creating a Twitter account for The Bipolar One. Please follow me @TreatBipolar for daily bipolar news and updates.

Winter is progressing
Winter is always a rough time for me. This year, it's moved along quite fast. This is a good thing. My brain seems to feed off of nature, in a very intense manner. My moods cycle with the seasons. I feel dead and sluggish in the winter, the season of depression, and I feel more upbeat and alive. The sun is a huge factor, no doubt about it.
The back and forth of a bipolar mind
This is one of the things I hate most about bipolar disorder. It's the mental ping pong match that goes on in the head. There isn't always a ping pong match in play, but when there is, it's pure mental exhaustion. If you've read anything I've blogged about then you know I'm all over the place. I'll be set on doing one thing, and then the next day, it's all fallen down. You just need to move along I suppose. It doesn't make sense half the time but if you keep on moving you'll end up somewhere and some point.

Combined Vyvanse and L-Tyrosine Supplement
Maybe a slight change in cognition but nothing major. Tyrosine supplements are much more useful for the comedown phase and restoration of depleted dopamine stores. These are all my thoughts on the subject of trying out this combo.

Grimes - Oblivion Lyrics
I never walk about
After dark
It's my point of view
That someone could break your neck
Coming up behind you always coming and you never have a clue
And now I look behind all the time
I will wait forever
Always looking straight
Thinking counting all the hours you wait
See you on a dark night
And now another clue I would ask
If you could help me out
It's hard to understand
'Cause when you're running by yourself
It's hard to find someone to hold your hand
And now it's gonna be tough for me
But I will wait forever
I need someone now
To look into my eyes and tell me
Girl you know you've got to watch your health
See you on a dark night
After dark
It's my point of view
That someone could break your neck
Coming up behind you always coming and you never have a clue
And now I look behind all the time
I will wait forever
Always looking straight
Thinking counting all the hours you wait
See you on a dark night

Grimes - Genesis. Reach for that sky.
I watched some of this video once. It was a bit strange. But then again, this song is so captivating because of its endearing quirk. Unique and superb electronic music.
Another thought on l-tyrosine
It'll be interesting to see if l-tyrosine helps with the Vyvanse comedown. Forgot to mention that this is something I'm very interested in, concerning my case of tyrosine supplementation. We shall see later today.
Got my l-tyrosine today
Just received my NOW brand L-Tyrosine supplement today. I've got 120 500mg capsules to spare. The whole point of getting a tyrosine supplement was to help with my Vyvanse therapy. More specifically, it should help combat the loss of neurotransmitters like dopamine caused by Vyvanse.
I know for a fact it will help as I've used tyrosine in the past for this same reason. It's just that I've been lazy as far as getting around to getting it. That's a loaded sentence. Now I just need some magnesium taurate and I'll be set.

Another Chemical Dependency
My bipolar disorder makes everything cut to bits and pieces. But the show goes on, just as it does for everyone else. I don't like having to take a pharmaceutical cake every night. It keeps me sane but it's damn pricey. I may be sane but I'm hopelessly dependent on my medications when it comes down to it.
Despite the fact that I am a dual diagnosis, if you want to follow the law of psychiatry, I don't need treatment. But you're thinking, "Just another junkie, living the lie", and I do live in lie here and there, but I'm nowhere near the bottom. I've never dabbled beyond that line, but it's only time, they say.
Truth is much more interesting. To be raw. As raw as words can be, anyway. They are silent and loud. It's the only paradox that works, as far as I know. I digress from the rambling. The point here is that this blog will now cover substance abuse treatment/addiction treatment.
No need to worry, your time won't be wasted. But then it might. You'll know very quickly whether or not the piece you are reading is factual or just mere thoughts of mine. I'll let you know. A topic in particular I have interest in is substance abuse/addiction treatment vs. harm reduction. The people are crazy at either side.
Harm reduction for me, for obvious reasons. I'm content with my life and life choices. Now, let me be so I can cop some of that meth I ordered from the guy.

The eat problem
You know you should eat but you just don't have an appetite. They're always trying times.
Pushing Bipolar Thoughts Aside
One of the many things I've learned when trying to treat bipolar symptoms is that clarity is possible. A lot of the time our heads are filled with nonsense. This nonsense plays tricks on us and ultimately has us spinning in circles. But you can get rid of the bad thoughts, and move on to the contents of life.
My Head Won't Let Me Out of My Head
This is what I'm working on coping with the most at the moment. An NAC supplement that I'm taking is helping me gain more traction than I ever have (read about NAC here). But the bulk of what's helping is crafting a different mindset, and a different approach to life's many varied encounters.
It's incredibly easy for me to fall prey to a one track line of thinking. A line of thinking that I can't escape. I remain in this headspace, and the longer I am here, the worse off mentally I get. Insanity is a good word for it. Doing the same thing over and over, and thinking on the same things, expecting a different result each time. Of course, your hopes are only crushed in the vicious cycle.
So, how do you treat something like this? My bipolar 1 disorder has a firm grip on me, however, I know my way around it from all of the suffering. I know what I should be doing when a particular episode strikes, and I know the things and thought patterns that set me off.
During all of my joyous learning, I've come to accept that I must gravitate towards a strong and positive energy if I want to escape the bad bipolar thoughts. What I'm doing right now, writing, is one of those things that has a strong pull on the mind if you can break past your screaming brain, telling you to remain where you are currently. And that's the key when it comes to shifting your consciousness, you have to suffer through the uncomfortable feelings of transition in order to escape, and feel freed.
Coping with Unhealthy Thoughts is Difficult Everytime
Everyone has something that they can tap into. You just need to find your own unique positive energy field, if we're talking in the language of hippy. The ones that work for pretty much any bipolar person are socializing and doing something that allows you to express, but your distraction could be anything.
Unfortunately, though the years of suffering, I've also learned that getting yourself out of a bad trip, when it comes to bipolar thought patterns, is quite difficult every time. It's a reminder of why bipolar treatment is so damn difficult. This is a severe and dynamic mental illness that requires one to be standing and ready for a blow to the head at all times.
Personally, I've become more and more callous to it all as time goes on. It's easier to deal with, and it isn't. No, it's still damn hard at times. But all of us bipolar sufferers need to keep on moving and adapting. It's the only way we learn and make progress.
I like writing. I don't like writing.
Writing is something I like, and writing is something I despise. I'm fairly good at it. I'm good at putting my thoughts together, anyway. But there's always a block in the background. I figure it's fear.
They say the only thing to fear is fear itself. Apart from the wretched boogie man, it's true. I think the solution to my problem is right here. It's this blog. It's a fresh start and a place for me to write about anything, without any kind of expectations.
If I eat a sandwich and wish to write about that particular experience, then I'll do it here. From now on, I'm moving past the fear, on to unadulterated expression. It's the only way to be. The roadblocks we set up for ourselves are useless. They only mean something because we give them meaning. You must always take another step. Take just one step everyday for a year, and you'll be somewhere far away from where you started at the end of your journey.
Fear can go die. I intend to make this so. I'll do it with my words, and useless thoughts. They are vicious, like ninja's sword, after all.

A thought a day keeps the doctor away
This blog will serve as my cloud nine. The more I write the better I am. The problem is that I don't feel as though my thoughts fit neatly into The Bipolar One, my main bipolar blog. I'm way too picky and OCD. Things have to work a certain way and I take things way too seriously.
Yeah, you'll find posts about bipolar treatment here. There's a lot I have to say about it considering I've been trying to treat this mental illness of mine for quite some time now. But this place will primarily be a place for my thoughts.
My goal is to ramble at least once a day here. Cleanse the mind so to speak. The key is to get myself to type on autopilot when writing is that last thing I want to do. I need to break through and tap into writing when I need it most. These are the times when nothing works, and I just don't know what to do.
A bipolar blog with bipolar thoughts. I can't say for sure if things will always make sense here. I just need a place to write down my thoughts, to express, and to do it all without second guessing. Second guessing leads to feeling stuck and hopeless. I've got to smash through the wall. Post, post, post, and post some more, like it's a heroin addiction.
